At the recent KNCV - PCF workshop in Nigeria, organised by the National and State level program, Vincent Meurrens, founder and COO of EPCON, presented the organisation’s contributions and actively participated in technical discussions.

Support of subnational TB program planning
EPCON showcased its AI-powered Epi-control platform, which supports subnational TB program planning by integrating routine data, contextual variables, and predictive analytics. The platform enables visualisation of the “As Is” burden of TB at granular levels (LGA, ward, community), offering actionable insights for identifying screening gaps, optimising interventions, and informing evidence-based resource allocation. The platform has been supporting the Nigerian TB program and its partners since 2020 and is already deeply embedded across state and partner activities.
Strong Collaboration
The presentation emphasised EPCON’s collaboration with KNCV in Nigeria, which brings together the experience of KNCV in driving Patient Pathway Analysis (PPA) and EPCON’s dynamic modeling capabilities to drive more targeted and effective TB responses. By aligning expertise, both organizations are helping to uncover where people with TB are being missed, why gaps exist, and how to best address them through tailored and context-sensitive planning. The PCF framework will be leveraging EPCON’s strongly embedded platform to enhance the evidence base for National and State TB Strategic Plans.
Seamless integration of EPCON’s solution
A key objective is to ensure seamless integration of EPCON’s solution with other PCF components, including the Integrated Health Tool (IHT), PPA, and geospatial analyses, ensuring coherence across data systems and planning cycles throughout Nigeria. This alignment will help the PCF process deliver data-driven, cost-effective, and people-centred intervention strategies, while avoiding duplication and maximizing synergy across stakeholders and tools.
